Hydraulic Power Unit - Aerospace
This system features four 250 HP electric motors and Denison hydraulic pumps that combine to flow into a single port outlet. Features a Motor Control Enclosure, a Parker Hannifin Portable Purification System and a Turmoil Model OC-3000R Chiller.
Hydraulic Power Unit – Control Panel for Energy Company
This electrical control panel is made of NEMA 4X stainless steel etched with a graphical representation of the HPU. It has hand/off/auto selector switches, lights, alarm acknowledge, and alarm indicators mounted on front of the panel.
Hydraulic Accumulator for Theatrical Automation
Atlantic designed, manufactured and installed the full hydraulic drive system for a hit Broadway show in New York City. It uses 370 GPM of hydraulic oil at 3000 PSI (650 HP) to lift eight platforms 14 feet into the air to create stunning aerial acrobatic battle scenes.
Hydraulic Power Unit – Flood Protection
This HPU powers two swing gates, approximately 55 ft wide and 8 ft tall, that protect the Plaquemines Parish in New Orleans from storm surge. Atlantic designed, manufactured and installed the Hydraulic Power and Control System and the Rack and Drive Gears, which has 80 RPMs and 3,600 PSI max pressure.
Cirque du Soleil, KA, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada
Hydraulic System is comprised of six 250 horsepower pump-motors. It is used to control a mas- sive moving stage at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas. Combined with (34) 50 gallon accumu- lators the system offers up to 6000 HP during the high flow period of the effect. The 4,000 gallon reservoir has a double wall to contain oil in case of an accidental rupture. All pump-motors are double Parker piston pumps. A neighboring 120 GPM skid is dedicated for filtering and cooling.

Three 75 horsepower pump-motors and two 10 horsepower circulation pumps. It uses a Propor- tional valve to vary the wave height and wavelength. Instrumentation includes a water content This Hydraulic Power Unit drives a large paddle which creates realistic sea conditions in a testing tank.
Turbine Speed Control
A major producer of power generation equipment utilizes this system to control the speed of a tur- bine-generator in a power plant. It has a stainless steel reservoir, two 10 HP motors and extensive instrumentation. The reliability of this type of system is crucial to the reliability and availability of the plant.
Test Stand for Jet Turbine Fan Drives
This overhead style Hydraulic Power Unit is designed to power a test stand used to load Jet Turbine Fan Drives. It is capable of producing 5,000 psi at 4 gpm. The system utilizes four Servo Valves, which control pressure at four separate test stations. Motor starter controls and gage instrumentation are included.
Flood Control System
300 HP of diesel power provides torque and speed for water pumps that pump out 60,000 GPM of water during flooding conditions in severe weather areas. The system utilizes a high speed hydraulic motor coupled to water pumps. Internal oil heaters insure safe start-up in winter con- ditions.
Marine Pump and Compressor Control
Four closed circuit Denison Goldline 5000 PSI hydraulic pumps are controlled via a digital control card to set the speeds of three compressors and an electrical generator. This barge mounted unit was designed to meet the strict environmental codes of the California ports.
This 200 horsepower Hydraulic Power unit uses a closed circuit (hydrostatic) pump to drive a hydrau- lic motor. The flow of the pump is controlled with a 0-10 VDC signal. The reservoir is Stainless Steel to prevent oxidation inside the tank. The large electric motor is vibration isolated and is started with a reduced Voltage starter.
New Orleans Stainless Steel Hydraulic Power Unit
One year after Katrina, Atlantic Industrial Technologies was commissioned by the Army Corps of Engineers to design, manufacture and install a stainless steel hydraulic system and controls to control the levee gates that protect the city of New Orleans. The system communicated with the central SCADA operated by the local authorities.
